To Add a Shortcut to the Desktop on Windows (IE 11)

This procedure details the steps for creating a desktop shortcut on a Windows device using IE 11.
Note: The procedure below is for a desktop device running Windows. Behaviour may be different for a touch-based Windows device.
  1. If necessary, navigate to SmartView
  2. In the browser window, Right-click on an empty part of the page
    Note: Empty refers to any part of the page that is not the browser menu bar or the SmartView map.
    A menu will appear.
  3. In the displayed menu, select Create Shortcut
    A dialog box will appear.
  4. Select Yes to create a desktop shortcut
A SmartView shortcut has been successfully added on a Windows device desktop using IE 11.
