To Import and Attach a Document Using the Files Browser

This procedure details the steps in SmartCapture for importing and attaching a document using the Files browser.
Note: To access the Files browser, the iOS device must be running iOS 11 or newer.
  1. If necessary, open the building information plan into which a document should be imported
  2. If necessary, use the menu to navigate to the desired section
  3. In the selected field, tap Tap to Choose a Document
    A menu will appear.
  4. Tap Browse
  5. Use the iOS Files browser to locate the desired document
    Note: The document can be one that is saved locally to the device, or one that is saved on a compatible cloud storage provider like iCloud or Google Drive.
  6. Tap the desired document
    The Files browser will close and an alert will appear.
  7. Enter a document name
  8. Tap OK
A document has been successfully imported and attached, using the Files browser, to a building information plan.
